Three down, one to go! My final exhibition this year is:

Old and New Traces
Tuesday 31 October – Saturday 25 November
Bell Gallery, 40 Earsham St, Bungay NR35 1AQ

In my work, I concentrate on those moments between place and memory: a world where time is understood not as a linear narrative, but rather as a simultaneous bombardment of sensory perceptions.

Ros Bieber's mixed media painting of a mother pelican feeding her young chick.
Pelican Mother and Child

I’m delighted to be again sharing the space with fellow painter and artist Ros Bieber. Ros has come to love animals through drawing them, rather than the other way round. For her, the tensions, the shapes they make and their gestures, being wild, are totally pure.

Bungay is a pretty market town and well worth a visit in its own right, but The Bell Gallery is the jewel in its crown, boasting a very attractive exhibition space and even its own bar! You can try the latter out for yourself, when all are welcome at the:

Gallery Evening
5 – 8pm, Friday 10 November
Bell Gallery, 40 Earsham St, Bungay NR35 1AQ

(RSVP)

Abstract side-on portrait (head and shoulders) of a girl laughing. Her eyes are closed.
What’s so Funny?

The Bell Gallery is open 10am – 4.30pm, Tuesday – Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday). The closest train station is a bus-ride away in Beccles, but there’s parking in the street outside or in Scales Street Car Park (NR35 1EA), just behind the gallery.

Old and New Traces runs Tuesday 31 October – Saturday 25 November. Look forward to seeing you there!
